IMPORTANT NOTICE TO THE BAR AND PUBLIC REGARDING INCREASE TO PER PAGE TRANSCRIPT FEE RATES AND TRANSCRIPT CATEGORY NAME CHANGES

 

The bar and public are advised that at its September 2022 session, the Judicial Conference of the United States (“Judicial Conference”) approved an increase to the maximum per page original and copy transcript fee rates, effective October 1, 2023, of approximately 10 percent in each of the fiscal years 2024 and 2025. Transcripts ordered prior to October 1, 2023 should be billed at the rates in effect at the time the order was placed.

 

In addition, at its September 2023 session, the Judicial Conference approved modifying transcript category names, effective October 1, 2023, to ensure clarity regarding delivery timing (definitions are not changed, and no categories were added). The table of new fees and transcript category names is attached and is also available on www.uscourts.gov.
